Training
The Paris Fire Department conducts continuous education training
to ensure that all members are ready to assist our community when
the need arises. Lt. Jeff McFarland is the Training Coordinator for
the department. Training for each shift is carried out by: Lt.
McFarland, Bat Chief. Rick Covington, Firefighter Larry Jones,
and Firefighter Mark Logan.
Fire training consists of basic fire operations as well as new
techniques and evolutions. Fire training at the Paris Fire Department
is open to any firefighter in and around Bourbon County, and is
often attended by members of any of the countys seven volunteer
departments, as well as by members of the Bourbon County Fire
Department. Shift training is normally held every week on Tuesdays,
Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
The first week of each month, Emergency Medical training takes
place for all shifts. Current topics in the medical field, as well as
basic patient care curriculum are covered.
IF you have any questions for our training staff, Lt. McFarland can
